Watch: Bon Iver Performs with the National
Also Interview with Justin Vernon about Grammy Comments, Liquor Endorsement, and Kanye West
Last night The National performed two songs on CBC Radio in Toronto. Bon Iver's Justin Vernon joined them for a third song, "Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks" off of their 2010 release High Violet, which he contributed vocals to. Vernon also sat for an interview in which he defends his Grammy statements by saying, "I come from a place where music, growing up, was an expression... I've always been a little bit hesitant of sort of an industrial approach to music and making music." He goes on to explain his beliefs as well as talk about being called a "sell-out" over his liquor endorsement, mentioning the Black Keys and Wilco. Watch the two new National songs here, and check out the performance with Justin Vernon and his interview below.
