Cass McCombs released his great new album, Mangy Love, back in August via ANTI- (his first for the label). Today Ellen DeGeneres once again showed that’s she’s got pretty great taste in music for a daytime talk show host by having Cass McCombs on her show. Not to generalize, as Rachael Ray seems to have good taste too, but who knows what Dr. Oz listens to? McCombs and his band performed “Bum Bum Bum,” which was maybe a little too political and mellow for the Ellen audience (maybe the more upbeat “Run Sister Run” would have better captured the attention of casual listeners). Still, McCombs sounded good. Watch it below.
