Choir of Young Believers have premiered a new music for their Rhine Gold track “Paralyze.” Shot in a defunct slaughterhouse in Copenhagen’s nightlife-heavy meatpacking district director Anders Maimberg juxtaposes the entire 10-minute long mix of orchestral pop and vocal harmonies against all kinds of extended camera shots and slow-motion scenes. “In the beginning, I really needed to tame the song because it’s so wild and unorthodox in its structure,” says Maimberg. “Once I tamed it—and maybe I never did—I could start creating the visual storyline, which was very much a search for timeless images, the painterly, the film as a sculptural idea and long, precise and transcendent shots.”
