Scottish electronic pop trio CHVRCHES were at the Gamescom gaming convention in Cologne, Germany and were invited to try out the latest version of Rock Band, Rock Band 4, on the convention room floor. No doubt it was a slightly awkward experience playing Rock Band in front of a live audience, but the band seemed to have fun with it. They picked Paramore’s “Ignorance.” Martin Doherty and Iain Cook just had to play along, but vocalist Lauren Mayberry actually had to sing the song, so this amounts to a weird cover version. Video of the whole thing was captured and you can watch it below, followed by their upcoming tour dates.

CHVRCHES’ much anticipated second album, Every Open Eye, is due out September 25 via Glassnote. Oh yeah, and as we just announced today, the band is on the cover of our brand new print issue. There’s an in-depth 8-page 5,600-word feature on the band in the issue.
