Watch Coldplay Play Two “Back to the Future” Songs with Michael J. Fox on Guitar
"Earth Angel" and "Johnny B. Goode" from Chris Martin's Favorite Film

Last night Coldplay played the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. At the request of frontman Chris Martin’s son, the band played two covers of songs featured in the all-time classic 1985 time travel comedy Back to the Future, the favorite film of both Martin and his son. They performed The Penguins’ “Earth Angel” and Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode,” which are both featured in the Enchantment Under the Sea high school dance scene. But the twist was that partway through they brought out Marty McFly himself, Back to the Future star Michael J. Fox, to play guitar. “That’s our dream come true,” said Martin at the end. Watch fan shot videos below, followed by relevant clips from the movie. Coldplay released their seventh album, A Head Full of Dreams, back in December via Parlophone/Atlantic.
