Watch: Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl in a Drum Battle with Animal on Tonight’s “The Muppets”

Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters guest stars on tonight’s episode of The Muppets, which airs on ABC at 8 PM Eastern. At the end of the episode Grohl has a drum off with Animal. And since the episode actually aired in Canada last night, video of the fun drum battle has surfaced online. Be warned that the below video includes the last three minutes of the episode, so if you’re a regular watcher of the show you may want to just wait until tonight. While not quite as epic as the classic drum off between Animal and legendary jazz drummer Buddy Rich (also below), it’s amusing to watch.

The Muppets is still family friendly, but is also more adult than previous Muppet shows and is shot in a mockumentary style (like The Office). Foo Fighters have recently surprise released a brand new five-song EP, Saint Cecilia EP. (The above photo is via The Muppets’ Instagram.)
