Watch: Giant Weird Worm Returns in José González Video for “Open Book”

Part 2 of the Story That Began in a Calexico Video

When Calexico’s video for “Falling From the Sky” debuted a few weeks back and it featured José González and a weird giant worm, we were promised that the worm would return in an upcoming González video, also to be directed by Mikel Cee Karlsson. Well here it is. The video for “Open Book,” a song found on González’s recent Vestiges & Claws, features the Swedish singer/songwriter dealing with the worm, which seems to sometimes be connected to his body, in a hotel. The whole thing is pretty gross to be honest and begs the question, why would anyone want to make one video featuring such a creature, let alone two. Watch both videos below and judge for yourself.
