Watch Jack White Perform “The Rose With the Broken Neck” From “Rome” in New Live Video
Jack White Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016 Out Now via Third Man/XL

Back in September Jack White (of The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, and The Dead Weather) released Jack White Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016, an album of rare and unreleased acoustic recordings stretching across his career. Now he has shared a new black & white live performance video filmed at a show at the Pink Garter Theatre in Jackson, WY during a 2015 acoustic tour. In it he performs “The Rose With the Broken Neck,” which is not a song on Acoustic Recordings. It’s a song from Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi’s 2011 album Rome, which was recorded in Rome with classical musicians who had worked with Ennio Morricone. White wrote the lyrics for the song and he’d never really written lyrics to someone else’s music before. In the video he explains all this before performing the song with his backing band. Watch it below.
