One of the signature experiences of Tennessee’s annual Bonnaroo Festival is the Superjam, a special one-off performance that brings together artists old and new for supergroup session of music. This past year featured My Morning Jacket‘s Jim James and Hall & Oates John Oates serve as the set’s leaders, assembling a eclectic mix of special guests that included R. Kelly, Billy Idol, and Alabama Shakes singer Brittany Howard.

Bonnaroo’s YouTube channel, Bonnaroo 365 has posted the first part of mini-documentary capturing the exclusive gathering, featuring behind-the-scenes interviews with the principle characters and footage of the group covering John Lennon’s “Instant Karma.” Click below to watch the episode.
