Watch Jim James Perform “Over and Over” with The Resistance Revival Chorus on “Fallon”
Uniform Clarity Due Out Tomorrow via ATO

The Resistance Revival Chorus
My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James released a new solo album, Uniform Distortion, back in June via ATO and tomorrow he’s releasing another one, Uniform Clarity, that features acoustic versions of the songs found on Uniform Distortion. Last night he stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform “Over and Over,” a protest song of sorts. He performed it on guitar, but was backed by The Resistance Revival Chorus. In unique staging for a late night TV performance, James was on a raised platform with The Resistance Revival Chorus lower and behind him, which made for some dynamic shots. Watch it below.
This Sunday James embarks on his The Future Is Voting tour, in which he’ll mainly be performing for college students to encourage them to vote. Check out those dates below.
Following that, James’ “career-spanning” solo tour dates in November will be at historic venues and performing arts centers across America. One dollar from every ticket will go to The Waterfall Project to benefit United for A Fair Economy and National Bail Fund Network.
James released an excellent solo album, the politically-charged Eternally Even, in the fall of 2016 via ATO (it was one of Under the Radar‘s Top 100 Albums of 2016). Last December James released Tribute To 2, an album of covers that was the sequel to his 2009 George Harrison covers EP Tribute To (which was also reissued last year).
My Morning Jacket released their last album, The Waterfall, in 2015. Read our 2015 interview with Jim James about the album.
