Watch: Lord Huron - “Time to Run” Video
Avoiding the Noose
Sticking to the old west theme of the recent promotional images and cover art of his forthcoming full-length debut Lonesome Dreams, musical artist Lord Huron, a.k.a. singer/songwriter Benjamin Schneider has debuted creative, story-based music video for his lead track "Time to Run."
Adapted from the work of a non-existent author named George Ranger Johnson (whom the band took the time to build a real website for) and given a sequence of opening credits, the high-concept narrative features Schneider literally running for his life from a gang armed with six-shooters.
Helmed by L.A.-based director Arms Race and filmed in the Mojave Desert, Schneider says the serialized story is "a tragic tale of the foolish thing a man might find himself doing for a woman, and the consequences that foolishness may bring upon him and those around him."
