M. Ward has debuted a beautifully animated music video to accompany the first single off his upcoming new album A Wasteland Companion. Directed by Joel Trussell, the clip uses Ward's cut "The First Time I Ran Away" to tell a story of war and personal peace. Click below to watch. A Wasteland Companion is scheduled for release on April 10 via Merge and features the likes of Zooey Deschanel, Mike Mogis, Sonic Youth’s Steve Shelley, and PJ Harvey.
