Watch: Neil Young on “The Colbert Report”
His Book Special Deluxe: A Memoir Of Life And Cars is Out Now
Last night Neil Young swung by The Colbert Report to talk about a few of his favorite topics—old cars, great music, and the environment.
He had his reasons, having just released a memoir titled Special Deluxe: A Memoir Of Life And Cars, a hi-quality digital player called Pono, and a whole lot of rage towards President Obama’s fracking policies. (He was also just inducted into The Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame for the second time—which given that he’s had a major hit in every decade since the 1960s frankly seems like not quite enough.) To drive home his environmental righteous anger, Young and Colbert joined up for a song. “Who’s Gonna Stand Up?” is now officially our favorite protest tune, and Colbert is officially our favorite naysayer. Check out both the interview and performance below. Young’s new album Storytone is out Nov 4.
