Pixies recently released a new album, Head Carrier, via Pixiesmusic/[PIAS]. Now the band has shared a video for "Classic Masher." Bassist Paz Lenchantin directed the clip, which has kind of a Halloween feel despite it being November 2nd. Watch it below, followed by the band's upcoming tour dates.

A press release says the video "features Lenchantin's father Mario Merdirossian as the pianist as well as three friends - Hannah Vandermolen (driver), Adelaide Crocker (middle seat) and Virginia Rand (red lips)." Lenchantin also commented on the video: "Mephistopheles, the mocking and sarcastic devil behind every classic masher...Besides that, who doesn't like a talking piano?"

Head Carrier is the band's second album since reuniting in 2004 and is the follow-up to 2014's Indie Cindy, which was more of an EP collection than an album. It is the first album to feature Lenchantin (A Perfect Circle, Zwan, The Entrance Band) as their new permanent bassist. Tom Dalgety (Killing Joke, Royal Blood) produced Head Carrier, which was recorded at London's Rak Studios from mid-February through to mid-March this year. Pixies spent six weeks in pre-production (writing, arranging, and rehearsing all the songs), which was a luxury the band didn't have in their '80s and '90s heyday when they were releasing a new album a year from 1988 to 1991.
