PJ Harvey has shared the video for new single “The Community of Hope,” of her forthcoming album The Hope Six Demolition Project. As Stereogum reports, the video is about the problems created by poverty and gentrification in the Ward 7 in Washington, DC. The video was filmed exclusively in Washington DC and while she doesn’t appear, her recent collaborator, the wartime photographer Seamus Murphy does. Just as he did with Harvey’s “The Wheel,” Murphy was able to capture revealing everyday scenes and show the disparity of those that have and those that don’t. You can watch the video below.
