Establishing a definitive niche in the realm of hipster-mocking comedy Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein have announced the return of their hit sketch series Portlandia for a third season. Premiering Jan. 4 at 10 p.m. with back-to-back episodes on IFC, all your favorite characters from Kyle MacLachlan’s lovable mayor to the feminist bookstore owners will be making a return.
Breaking the routine of filming during the summer, the show will also being airing a special episode on Dec. 14 entitled “Winter in Portlandia.”
