Watch: Sigur Rós - “Varðeldur” Video
What Insanity Sees
Aug 13, 2012

Over the halfway point of their twelve-part “Mystery Film Experiment,” Icelanic foursome Sigur Rós have come forth with a meditative video for “Varðeldur.” One of the voiceless instrumental tracks featured on the band’s new album Valtari, the song is used by director Melika Bass to depict a seriously disturbed woman alone in a concrete room. With a stain of what can only assumed to be blood on the wall, the red-haired figure clearly experiences something in her mind, making a variety of gestures and movements that would suggest some sort of hallucination or insanity. Like most of the other videos it’s strange and beautiful at the same time. Click below to watch.
