Watch: Sigur Rós – “Ekki múkk” Video
The Snail Knows the Way

Sigur Rós
Nearing the end of their “Mystery Film Experiment” Sigur Rós have delivered a particularly interesting piece of work for their tenth installment. Directed by Nick Abrahams and utilizing the Valtari track “Ekki múkk,” the short film stretches close to ten minutes in length following a man (actor Aidan Gillen known for his work on The Wire) as he wanders a field and forest questioning his path’s direction and his ultimate destination. Along the way he encounters a snail (voiced by UK singer/songwriter Shirley Collins) that acts as his guide. Capturing themes of time, purpose, fear in uncertainty, life, and death, the short is apparently pulled from a forthcoming feature film by Abrahams. Click below to watch.
