Considering it's a spy series, it makes sense that Mission: Impossible has secretly become the most consistent action movie franchise around. You could argue that 2000's John Woo-directed Mission: Impossible 2 was a little over the top in a way only Woo can deliver. But the other four movies released thus far have all given us amazing thrills, with the last two (2011's Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and 2015's Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation) arguably the best two in the franchise. Say what you will about Tom Cruise, but he deserves most of the credit, producing each film and handpicking the directors. July 27 brings us the sixth film, Mission: Impossible - Fallout. The first trailer, shared back in February during the Super Bowl, already impressed. But today a new trailer was shared and it's an action packed doozy. Watch it below.

Regular Cruise collaborator Christopher McQuarrie, who helmed Rogue Nation, returns to direct. Also returning alongside Cruise are Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Michelle Monaghan, Alec Baldwin, Rebecca Ferguson, and Sean Harris. Joining the franchise are Wes Bentley, Vanessa Kirby, Sian Brooke, and Angela Bassett. Most notably Superman himself, Henry Cavill, is a CIA agent who seems to be Cruise's adversary in the film. He famously grew a mustache for the role which had to be digitally removed when he took a break from Fallout to return to the Justice League set for reshoots when Joss Whedon took over as director of that superhero team-up. The digital work was noticeable, with Cavill's upper lip looking strange in most of his scenes. But he looks like a badass in Mission: Impossible - Fallout.
