Watch the New “Deadpool 2” Trailer From the Studio That Brought You “27 Dresses”
Movie Due Out May 18
Mar 22, 2018
Josh Brolin
The sequel to the monster hit Deadpool is due out May 18. Now a new trailer has been shared. It’s a bit more of a straight up action filled trailer than previous glimpses at the film, although it does joke that the superhero sequel is “from the studio that brought you 27 Dresses and The Devil Wears Prada” and Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) has a line about The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. And it gives you a look at the superhero team X-Force. Watch it below.
Back in November we posted a funny teaser trailer that parodied the old PBS show The Joy of Painting, hosted by the late Bob Ross, with Ryan Reynolds in full Deadpool costume underneath a Ross costume and wig. Then in February there was another trailer that gave us the first real look at Josh Brolin’s time traveling character Cable (in the comics he’s the son of X-Men’s Cyclops) and also featured Deadpool acting out some of the movie with action figures. David Leitch (John Wick, Atomic Blonde) directs Deadpool 2.
The YouTube page for the trailer includes this humorous description of the film’s plot: “After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor - finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.”
