In early 2013 disco-psychedelic enthusiasts The Stepkids will release Troubadour, the follow-up to their self-titled 2011 debut. Preceeding the new full-length, the skilled songwriting trio have released a digital and 12’’ EP to highlight two of the record’s included tracks, “Bitter Bug” and the band’s newest single “Sweet Salvation.” In addition to the EP the group has unveiled a DIY sci-fi music video for the lead track. Directed by Jesse Mann - a longtime collaborator and co-developer/designer of the band’s much-lauded live light show - the clip features the band as they journey through space and encounter all kinds of aliens that clearly look like they were inspired by the great B-grade monster movies of the 1950s.
