Trapper Schoepp
Milwaukee, WI, singer-songwriter Trapper Schoepp will be releasing his new sophomore album Rangers and Valentines April 1 on Xtra Mile Recordings. It was produced by Brendan Benson and also features Trapper’s backing band The Shades. They recorded the album in Nashville at Readymade Studios with an assortment of session musicians and notable contributors including Steve Selvidge of the Hold Steady, John Davis of Superdrag, and gospel singers the McCrary Sisters. Comedian Marc Maron contributes background singing and guitar playing on the latest single “Talking Girlfriend Blues.” You can watch the video, which is complete with comical mannequin obsession and homages to Schoepp’s influences like Tom Petty. Schoepp and his band are fresh off a three-week run throughout the UK and Europe supporting Jesse Malin.
