Watch: Video of Menomena’s “Taos”
Mar 10, 2011 Menomena
It’s a classic night on the town for Menomena‘s Joe Haege in their latest video, “Taos.” He goes out to a bar, is served a few drinks by a lumberjack-looking bartender (this would be out of character if it weren’t for Portland), then flirts with some ladies—except he’s not looking to bring them back to the bedroom. The vid culminates in a Nacho Libre-esque wrestling match, complete with masks and neon spandex suits. Maybe it’s symbolic, or maybe that’s just how they do things up there in Portland.
Menomena will be heading down to Austin, Texas next week for the SXSW fest, where they will be playing Under the Radar’s Friday, March 18 party. These wrestling antics may or may not continue onstage.

Good video.
Also, it looks like that lumberjack bartender is drummer Danny Siem (he’s also the wrestling ref) and the long haired wrestler is front man Justin Harris.
