Jul 04, 2019 Under the Radar’s Weekly Playlist
I got lost last week but the weekly playlist is back on track in time for beaches, backyards, brews and buds. Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein take the marquee with their soundtrack for the retrun of Stranger Things (that’s what we’re all celebrating, right?) Night Moves high dives into this playlist with a little something for every vibe. Their vibrance is matched by Car Seat Headrest live and Mannequin Pussy blowing the doors off. Hot Chip makes you dance again. A reissue of Snail Mail’s debut nuzzles up to new friends black midi, Katerina, and the unfortunately posthumous brilliance of Trey Gruber. Frankie Cosmos and Fruit Bats are the starburst candies while Thom Yorke and Burial go night swimming in the depths. Luke Temple and Steve Gunn are the breezes both soft and stimulating and the return of old friends Pinback make it feel like they never left. Breathe easy and take it all in.
