Whitney features former Smith Westerns members Julien Ehrlich and Max Kakacek and they released their excellent debut album, Light Upon the Lake, last June via Secretly Canadian. On June 2 they are releasing a new 12-inch that features two covers: Dolly Parton’s “Gonna Hurry (As Slow As I Can)” and Lion’s “You Got a Woman.” Lion was a 1970s Dutch psych rock band. Now they have shared a video for their cover of “You Got a Woman.” Peter and Nick Simonite directed the moody clip, which features various characters in a dessert town and which you can watch below. The band has also announced some more tour dates and their full schedule is below.
