Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy has announced his intent to embark on a series of solo performances this summer. As it turns out the planned North American trek is only the precursor to a forthcoming solo album due out sometime this year. On the road Tweedy will be joined by a new backing band, featuring his own son Spencer on drums, guitarist Jim Elkington, bassist Darin Gray, and keyboardist Liam Cunningham.
