Will Butler (of Arcade Fire) Shares New Song About George Washington - “Anything You Want”
Butler's American History Lesson Kind of Timed to July 4

Will Butler from Arcade Fire shared a brand new song yesterday, partly timed to July 4th. The song is something of a history lesson, as it includes lyrics about George Washington. The chorus is borrowed from Roy Orbison's 1989 hit "You Got It." Butler had this to say about the song on Twitter: "It's about George Washington, and my family, and America. It wasn't written for the 4th of July, but it feels appropriate." Listen below.
Butler released his debut solo album, Policy, in 2015, and put out a live album, Friday Night, in 2016, both via Merge. Arcade Fire are releasing a new album, Everything Now, on July 28 via their new label Columbia.
