A supergroup made up of drummers brings to mind all the wrong images: primarily that of multiple rotating drum kits with an absurd amount of toms, banging out hour-long solos that were only originally created as a way for everyone else in the band to go backstage and do blow. Luckily Drummer is not that band.
Unlike his fellow Black Key, Patrick Carney's side project is miles away from his work with the bluesy rock duo. Drummer is a bonafide indie rock, shoegaze venture, but with a real knack for melodies and, well... rhythm. This breathes new life into the somewhat stale genre, disproving a number of undeserved musician jokes. Great! (www.drummercenter.com)

I like bands what make good musics. And banana splitses.
