Mark Millar strikes gold with Huck, an endearing tale of the titular super-powered gas station attendant who puts his abilities to use committing one good deed a day. Collecting the first six issues of the Image series, Huck is a simple man's journey to find his long-lost mother. Despite the obstacles and deceptions he encounters along the way, his view of humanityand his desire to help itremains untainted. Huck is the superhero the world needs today; he's honest, sincerely driven to do good, and loves his mother. Written by Millar in true page-turner fashion, and with inspired art by Rafael Albuquerque, Huck is a necessary positive story in a world filled with pain and darkness. It also might just be the best comic of the year. (
