News that Depeche Mode originals Vince Clarke (also of Erasure) and Martin Gore are working together again after 30 years makes any passing fan giddy. The duo’s album as VCMG, Ssss, however, will immediately quell that giddiness. Unfortunately, when left to their own devices, these talented individuals get a little too noodly with their music-making toys. Geared towards ghost-complexioned studio nerds like themselves, the bleeping, navel-gazing, minimal techno of Ssss is as disposable as it is forgettable. Nothing on this album is new, nor is it a fresh take on over-tread electronic music ground. Get these two away from each other. (www.facebook.com/VCMGofficial)

worst review ever, next time listen to something more than once before you give it 2(!) stars.

You’ve got to be kidding, Lily. Someone obviously has an axe to grind against one or both of these amazing artists. The collaboration is genius and the production quality is superb. 2 stars out of 10? Which editor approved this content-less article to be written? Someone needs to look at Lily Moayeri’s work and consider not letting her write customer-facing content any longer. She obviously wrote an editorial, and not a well thought out review.
(I am sure I spent more time on this post than she did listening to this album and writing the review)

You listened to ten second of each track. Wrote a one paragraph review. Job done, right?
