This
Is Tom Jones: Rock 'N' Roll Legends
DVD (Time Life)
Tom Jones was once a mighty force and not just the dude who covered Prince’s
“Kiss” for the soundtrack for My Stepmother Is an Alien.
Back in the day, he was such a badass that he had his own television program.
Now, some of the episodes that feature strong musical acts like The Who,
Stevie Wonder, The Moody Blues, Janis Joplin, and more are featured on
this three-disc set. The late-’60s musical variety show is surprisingly
entertaining and off the cuff. It’s too bad we can’t have
an hour-long show like this now. I’d suggest Robbie Williams as
Jones’ lively successor.
