The Charlatans Will Perform Between 10th and 11th and Ride Will Perform Nowhere

At the start of this year The Charlatans and Ride teamed up for some co-headlining North American tour dates and next January they are doing it again. As with the previous tour, Britpop and Madchester survivors The Charlatans will be performing their 1992-released sophomore album, Between 10th and 11th, and shoegazing icons Ride will perform their 1990-released debut album, Nowhere. Andy Bell, founding member of ’90s British shoegaze band Ride, has announced the release of three new EPs featuring remixes, acoustic versions, and covers of songs which inspired Bell during the creation of his most recent solo album, Flicker. The first EP, entitled, I Am A Strange Loop, is out now. It features remixes of tracks from Flicker by a variety of artists. Bell has shared a video for a David Holmes remix of “The Sky Without You.” More

Tour Will Commemorate 30th Anniversary of Nowhere

Iconic ’90s British shoegaze band Ride have announced a 2022 tour across the U.K. The tour is in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of Nowhere, the band’s 1990 debut album. Originally planned for 2020, the tour had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. EST. More

Andy Bell, founding member of ’90s British shoegaze band Ride, has announced a new series of EPs and a compilation album, collectively titled Ever Decreasing Circles, to be released in the coming months. The first EP, The Indica Gallery, will be out April 9 on 12-inch vinyl and digital. It consists of five reworkings of songs from Bell’s debut solo album, 2020’s The View from Halfway Down, by British electronic artist Pye Corner Audio. The sixth and final track is a remix of Pye Corner Audio’s reworking of “Indica,” done by Bell under his GLOK moniker. More
