The nominations for the 2023 Grammy Awards have been announced. Under the Radar favorites Wet Leg got five nominations, including for Best New Artist and Best Alternative Music Album. The nominations for the 2021 Grammy Awards have just been announced. Beyoncé leads the list with a solid nine nominations, followed by Dua Lipa, Roddy Ricch, and Taylor Swift, each with six nominations. Brittany Howard has five nominations, and Megan Thee Stallion, Billie Eilish, DaBaby, Phoebe Bridgers, Justin Bieber, John Beasley, and David Frost are all tied with having four nominations. British singer/songwriter Marika Hackman is releasing a new covers album, simply titled Covers, on November 13 via Sub Pop. Now she has shared two of its tracks, covers of Elliott Smith’s “Between the Bars” and Beyoncé’s “All Night.” More

“It has now been over three months since the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) killed Breonna Taylor,” wrote Beyoncé in her open letter to Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron. The letter is in response to the killing of a 26-year-old black woman, Breonna Taylor, who was killed in March after officers entered her apartment with a no-knock warrant. Despite Louisville city council banning no-knock warrants via “Breonna’s Law,” the officers who killed her are still walking freely. More

Coldplay released their seventh album, A Head Full of Dreams, back in December via Parlophone/Atlantic. Now the band have shared a new video for “Hymn for the Weekend,” a track that features Beyoncé, who also appears in the video. The clip was filmed in Mumbai, India, and features Chris Martin and band performing on the street for local kids and going to see a Bollywood film (which includes footage of Beyoncé and features a cameo from Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor).
