Bill Ryder-Jones is releasing a new album, Yawn, this Friday (November 2) via Domino. Now he has shared another song from the album, “Don’t Be Scared, I Love You,” via a video for the track. James Slater directed the clip, which uses split screen. More

Last week’s Songs of the Week was sparse, with only a Top 8 (and two of those songs were from the same artist), probably due to it building up a three-day weekend. There wasn’t much to write about at the start of this week, due to the Labor Day holiday on Monday, but labels, bands, and publicists more than made up for it with plenty of new songs the rest of the week. This week’s Songs of the Week is packed. Firstly boygenius, the new supergroup featuring Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus, and Phoebe Bridgers, released three songs this week and all were worthy of the list. Thus we decided to expand it from a Top 10 to a Top 12, so that 10 separate artists were still included, be even that wasn’t enough, so we added one more for an unlucky Top 13. More
