As well as a regular Songs of the Week, we have put together an additional Spotify playlist featuring all the songs we also liked while Songs of the Week was taking a break. More

The last time there was a Woodstock festival was in 1999, to commemorate the original festival’s 30th anniversary, and it didn’t go so well, with reports of gang rapes, property destruction, violence, and fires, not to mention a fairly terrible lineup featuring Korn, Limp Bizkit, Bush, Kid Rock, Creed, and others. The organizers of Woodstock 50 are no doubt hoping for a more peaceful and loving event this time and the freshly announced lineup is noticeably less heavy, not a nu-metal band in sight. More

By Matt the Raven
It seems there’s no ceiling for Cherry Glazerr. Building on the indie rock stomp of 2017’s Apocalipstick and blending in the slamming grunge rock of 2019’s Stuffed & Ready, new album I Don’t Want You Anymore continues the skyward trend with a power-packed collection of raucous rhythms, bouncy beats, and rough riffs delivered with an emotional intensity akin to Wolf Alice and The Kills. More

Prior to now, Clementine Creevy and her Cherry Glazerr crew were just hanging out. 2017’s Apocalipstick eschewed formal honesty for situational slacking-the slow-blooming feminist, escapades in the kitchen, dirty underwear worn three days in a row. Good times, by every party guest’s standards. More
