Beck released a new album, Colors, last October via Capitol. Now he has shared a remix of one of its singles, “Up All Night,” by Los Angeles electronic duo Oliver. A press release says the song has now been “infused with an epic coat of twisted yacht rock smoothness, sure to keep the good vibes rolling.” Beck has also announced some more tour dates, including his first ever headlining show at Madison Square Garden in July (with support from Glass Animals). The genesis of U.K. quartet Glass Animals’ sophomore album, How to Be a Human Being, is one of the more offbeat origin stories you’ll read. The 11 tracks which comprise the record began as secret field recordings made of the people the band met on tour; snippets of dialogue clandestinely taped, at first, “for kicks” but later found to be a major source of inspiration.
