Now they have shared another song from it, “Just the Way,” via an amusing video that spoofs the 1970s sitcom Three’s Company, with the band as the main trio of roommates and guest stars Jack Black and Maya Rudolph as their neighbors The Gropers (as opposed to The Ropers in the original show). A new behind-the-scenes video documenting the recent goings on of Tenacious D (aka Jack Black and Kyle Gass) teases a collaboration with Jack White. The video is fittingly titled Jack Gray, although it’s unclear if that will actually be the name of a project. More likely is that Tenacious D have recorded a single for White’s Third Man label with a little help from White himself. More

There have been Internet rumblings about the album in the last week, but now the album has been officially announced and the cartoon band has shared two tracks from it, album opener “Humility” (which features the great jazz guitarist George Benson) and “Lake Zurich,” which is a near instrumental track. Comedian and actor, Heidi Gardner, who is known for her many roles on Saturday Night Live and for her voice work on the animated show, SuperMansion, pursued her career in comedy a little later in life than some. While laughter had always been part of her world, for a while she never knew she could find a job that paid within the ranks. In the meantime, before earning a role on the most prestigious sketch show in the world, Gardner appreciated the work of the talented musical and comedic duo, Tenacious D. More
