The music community has really stepped up when it comes to raising money for those affected by the recent devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, from various benefit concerts and compilations to the millions raised during the Grammy Awards telecast. Los Angeles Rising is another compilation album added to the cause and it features Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker covering The Mamas and the Papas’ “California Dreamin’” and a new PJ Harvey song, “The Red River,” along with previously unreleased tracks by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Primal Scream, Grinderman, Gary Numan, and more. More
