She has also shared a remix of the song by The Horrors that completely transforms the track into something slower and more beat-heavy. More

Previously she shared its first single, “Fits of Rage” (which was one of our Songs of the Week), as well as a self-directed video for the song. Now she has shared a self-directed video for another new song from the album, album opener “Angels of Sweat,” which channels Cocteau Twins and Kate Bush as much as any of Tamaryn’s other songs. More

The Sasquatch! Music Festival has revealed the lineup for their 2016 festival, their 15th year. Once again it will be going down Memorial Day Weekend (May 27 - 30) at the Gorge Amphitheater in Quincy, Washington. It’s a stacked lineup, including The Cure, M83, Sufjan Stevens, Grimes, Florence and the Machine, Wolf Alice, Julia Holter, Jamie xx, Caribou, Yeasayer, Savages, Kurt Vile, Mac DeMarco, and others.

Tamaryn has shared a video for “Cranekiss,” which is the title track to her forthcoming new album, Crane Kiss, due out August 28 via Mexican Summer. Gang Gang Dance member Brian DeGraw, who’s also a visual artist and also releases music as bEEdEEgEE, directed the clip. The video mainly features shots of Tamaryn singing against a white background, but her image is manipulated and distorted in various artistic and interesting ways. More

Tamaryn has shared “Softcore,” which is another song from her forthcoming new album, Crane Kiss, which is due out August 28 via Mexican Summer. The song’s icy and impressive soundscapes would’ve provided a nice soundtrack to a 1980s’ Los Angeles set noir film that takes place mainly at night in the rain.
