Indie shmindie. Sometimes it’s hard to argue with cooperate sponsorship. Today, Virgin Mobile announced its free festival (September 25th at Merriweather Post Pavilion) and it is a dozy. The daylong genre-hopping festival will play host to buzz bands such as Sleigh Bells and Neon Indian, scene stalwarts LCD Soundsystem and M.I.A. and legends such as Pavement and Joan Jett.
