Brand New Abyss Due Out September 22

The Blow are releasing a new album, Brand New Abyss, on September 22. It’s a self-released affair, funded by Pledge Music (head over there if you want a Blow beach towel set, among other premiums). It includes the previously shared songs “Get Up” and “Think About Me,” and now they have shared another track from the album, an off-kilter cover of Whitney Houston’s 1985 classic “Greatest Love of All.” More

Deadline reports that Scottish director Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland, Black Sea) will be directing a documentary on the late Whitney Houston. It’s described as an “official” documentary, as it has Houston’s estate’s blessing to, as Deadline puts it, “tell the unvarnished and authentic story of the singer’s life.” More
