For Under the Radar’s 12th annual Artist Survey we emailed some of our favorite artists a few questions relating to 2014. We asked them about their favorite albums of the year and their thoughts on various notable 2014 news stories involving either the music industry or world events, as well as some quirkier personal questions.

Max Warren: I actually love all of my haters.
In which instance did you most sell out and compromise your music?
Owen Williams: Our label guy bought me a pie.
What’s the most uplifting or heartwarming fan interaction you’ve ever had?
Alanna: A tweet that said, “She has no stage presence and looks like a leaf blowing in the wind.”
What quirky piece of band merchandise would you most like to produce for sale to your fans?
Owen: Horrible smelly masks.

Oi ihanuutta… Minulla on nyt joku Tove-vaihe menossa, liekö kesän syytä vai miksi lie.Oletko muuten huomannut, että kun yleensä kirjailijoista puhutaan (postauksissa) sukunimellä, niin esimerkiksi Tove Janssonista puhutaan monesti tuttavallisemmin Tovena? Johtuukohan tämä kirjailijan persoonasta, kiiuÃrtjstyylisto¤ vai siitä että hän on monelle jo lapsuudesta tuttu? Itse veikkaisin ehkä tuota persoonaa…
