Premiere: “Never Fade” Video

Elaine Lachica‘s third LP, I Think I Can See the Ocean, received plenty of praise from this section of the site, when we premiered the singer-songwriter’s fantastic track, “Bewilder.” That fragile, yet stentorian performance is echoed in Ocean‘s deeper cut, “Never Fade.” This time out we’re debuting the partially animated music video for the piano-and-strings waltz. In the Monica Kelly-helmed clip, a balletic woman encounters fairy tale characters and historical figures through a series of dreamy vignettes.

I Think I Can See the Ocean is out now via Stunning Models on Display. See the classically trained soprano’s upcoming tour dates at her MySpace or official site. You owe it to yourself to see the New York dream-popper play live. Note: She’s also performing at the Montreal Baroque Festival on June 27. More gigs will be announced very soon.
