Adele confirmed this week that her long-awaited new album, 25, was coming out on November 20 via XL Recordings. Now she has shared the album’s first single and opening track, fittingly titled “Hello,” via its video. Xavier Dolan directed the sepia-toned clip, which co-stars actor Tristan Wilds (The Wire). Watch it below.
Dolan commented on the video in a press release: “It was a privilege to direct the music video for Adele’s beautiful, heartbreaking song ‘Hello’. When I first heard it, all the images appeared clearly in my head - and her trust and generosity allowed me to work with abandon artistically and emotionally, like she always does. It made me extremely proud.”
25 reportedly features collaborations with Tobias Jesso Jr., Max Martin, Danger Mouse, and Ryan Tedder. Damon Albarn and Ariel Rechtshaid have also said they contributed to the album’s sessions. The album’s tracklist is below.
25 Tracklist:
1. Hello
2. Send My Love (To Your New Lover)
3. I Miss You
4. When We Were Young
5. Remedy
6. Water Under The Bridge
7. River Lea
8. Love In The Dark
9. Million Years Ago
10. All I Ask
11. Sweetest Devotion
