Alex Lahey is a promising new Australian singer/songwriter. She released her debut album, I Love You Like a Brother, last fall via Dead Oceans (it was our joint Album of the Week). Now Lahey has shared a video for the album’s title track, “I Love You Like a Brother.” Fittingly, it costars her actual brother, Will, as the two goof around. It also features old VHS footage from their childhood. Watch it below, followed by her upcoming tour dates.

Lahey had this to say about the video in a press release: “There was no way I could make a clip for ‘I Love You Like a Brother’ without having my brother Will involved. Props to our mum, Vicki, for trawling through old VHS recordings of us as little kids and finding some of the finest peanut butter toast based footage. If you’re going to do anything after watching this clip, give your little brother or your big sister a call just to say hi.”

Previously we posted the video for “Every Day’s the Weekend,” the audio for “Lotto in Reverse” (which was one of our Songs of the Week), and the video for “I Haven’t Been Taking Care of Myself” (it was also one of our Songs of the Week). Lahey also stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers to make her TV debut and perform “Every Day’s the Weekend.”
