Amanda Palmer Shares New Hurricane Harvey Benefit Song “Drowning in the Sound”
All Proceeds Go to the Texas Diapers Bank
Sep 01, 2017 Amanda Palmer
Amanda Palmer has shared a brand new song, “Drowning in the Sound,” to benefit those affected by Hurricane Harvey. All the proceeds from downloads of the song between now and September 30 will go to the Texas Diapers Bank, to help parents of babies (as well as seniors) caught up in the hurricane and flooding who might not have access to diapers. The song was made with help and input from her Patreon supporters. Palmer had this to say about the song in a press release: “The song wound up being a response to the insanity of internet politics melded with the recent total eclipse and the devastation of Hurricane Harvey…and y’know…other stuff.” Listen to it below.
