Letterman aired without an audience again last night (thanks Sandy!) and scheduled guests David Byrne and St. Vincent were forced to cancel. Enter replacement Andrew Bird, whose new album Hands of Glory was practically custom built for intimate performances. Check out his Townes Van Zandt cover “If I Needed You” below.
