In 2016 Angel Olsen released a fantastic new album, MY WOMAN, via Jagjaguwar. It made it to #3 on Under the Radar’s Top 100 Albums of 2016 list. Now she has covered the Connie Francis classic “Who’s Sorry Now” for the soundtrack to Amazon’s TV series The Man in the High Castle.

The album is described as an “imagined soundtrack” and features songs that could play on Resistance Radio, the pirate radio network featured in season 2 of the show. Hence the album is entitled Resistance Radio: The Man in the High Castle Album and it’s due out April 7 via 30th Century/Columbia. Danger Mouse and Sam Cohen has put it together and the album also features Beck, Sharon Van Etten, The Shins, Grandaddy, Kevin Morby, Kelis, Norah Jones, Andrew VanWyngarden, Benjamin Brooker, Karen O, and others. The Man in the High Castle is based on the novel by Philip K. Dick and imagines a 1962 where we lost World War II and America is half controlled by Nazis and half controlled by the Japanese. Back in January, Olsen shared a brand new song, “Fly on Your Wall,” as the first offering in the “Our First 100 Days” anti-President Donald Trump project.
