Animal Collective’s Avey Tare Set to Release Debut Solo LP
Spooky Sounding Album Due October 26, Just in Time for Halloween
Aug 02, 2010 Avey Tare
Not resting on the laurels of his band’s acclaimed 2009 LP Merriweather Post Pavillion, Animal Collective co-frontman Avey Tare is set to release his debut LP Down There October 26 on Paw Tracks. Recorded by Animal Collective bandmate Josh Dibb (Deakin) in upstate New York earlier this summer, this record’s described in the press release as one that “carries you through a murky world of sound an alien death world of soul grooves that is both honest and otherworldly.” Sounds like quite a departure from Merriweather’s day-glo Beach Boys-esque anthems. We have the tracklisting below.
1. Laughing Hieroglyphic
2. 3 Umbrellas
3. Oliver Twist
4. Glass Bottom Boat
5. Ghost Of Books
6. Cemeteries
7. Heads Hammock
8. Heather In The Hospital
9. Lucky 1
