Antony and the Johnsons Reveal Swanlights Album Cover, Tracklist, and Björk Collaboration

Antony and the Johnsons
As previously reported, Antony and the Johnsons are plotting an October 12th release for newest album, Swanlights. Now the album cover and tracklist have been revealed, which also includes the news that Björk sings a duet on one song. In addition to a traditional CD release, a special edition of Swanlights will include the album inside a 144-pagebook of banleader Antony’s paintings, collages, photography, and writing. Says the press release, “Unlike previous work, which was often quite sparsely voiced, on Swanlights the vines in the garden are overgrown and the sound palette has become more exotic; strange percussive elements, John Cale-esque string drones, heavily distorted guitars and symphonic winds and strings thread the song cycle together.”
